F-14: The points leader from the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour

The Santa Clara graduate will be making his second U.S. Open start after capturing the points title on the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour. Not long after he graduated to the PGA Tour last fall, the left-hander captured his first title at the Black Desert Championship in Utah by three strokes. This came after he posted three victories on the Korn Ferry Tour, including the Albertsons Boise Open to cap an amazing season. He joined Jason Gore (2005) as the only KFT players to earn a three-win promotion to the PGA Tour and then win a title on that circuit in the same season. The Scottsdale, Ariz., native earned his undergraduate degree in finance in 2020, and then he earned a master's degree in 2021 in marketing. Prior to his three 2024 KFT wins and PGA Tour title, McCarty won the 2021 Wyoming Open. He also competed in the 2019 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball at Bandon Dunes.
